- Only one bystander is allowed to stay with the patient. No visitor will be allowed more than 15 minutes in the ward.
- The bystander pass must be kept safe and if lost, a duplicate pass will be charged Rs.50.
- People above 65 years of age, mentally ill and those with other ailments are not allowed to sit as bystander.
- Male should not stay in female ward for more than 5 minutes during visitors time.
- Children below the age of 14 are not allowed as visitors in the hospital, this is to protect them from getting cross infection as they are susceptible cross infections.
- Male bystander are not allowed in antenatal ward and postnatal ward.
- In Labour ward first stage males (husbands) are allowed with permission from the authority and consent from patient.
- Only women are allowed as by standers in women and children ward.
- No visitors are allowed between 9 am to 11 am which is the doctor’s visiting time.
- Visits can be made through a special pass in case of emergency.
- Emergency visiting pass can be obtained from the emergency department cash counter of Rs. 25 per pass.
- Time of visit only for 5 minutes for males and females.
- Plastic bags, kits and bottles are not allowed in possession of visitors for any reason.
- Only one person is allowed with the patient during the examination in OP.
- Only one person is allowed with the patient in the emergency department.
VISITING TIME
- Morning from 6.00 am to 8.00 am
- Afternoon 12 pm to 2 pm
- Evening from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm
- 9.00 am to 11.00 am strictly prohibited
Dos
- Turn off the cell phone or keep them in vibration mode, nobody will be allowed to charge the mobile phone in the ward.
- Leave the room if the doctor arrives to examine or talk to the patient.
- In case of critical case if the case prognosis is bad, with the permission of the authority additional attendants may be allowed.
- Must co-operated with hospital staff and security staff.
Don’ts
- Do not visit patients if you have any symptoms that disease such as cold, flu etc. may indicate an infectious.
- The use of Tobacco products, Alcohol & other intoxicating substances are prohibited in the hospital premises.
- Entry to the ward with alcohol & other intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited.
- Children under 12 years of age are not allowed as visitors, Children under the age of 18 are not permitted as bystander.
- Don’t argue/ Don’t shout/ fight with security guards, they are only doing their duty. If you have any issue or complaints regarding the behavior of staff please inform to the authority by phone or writing. The complaint box are kept in places.
- Cash, mobile phone, other documents, bags etc. should be kept at own risk.
- Unauthorized photo and video shooting is legally prohibited.
- Safety related complaints and suggestions can be deposited in the complaint box and can be contacted at the Superintendent’s office.
Beware: You are under CCTV surveillance all the time. So any unlawful acts will be informed to the police
